Tremolo

What it is

Tremolo effect based on sinusoidal amplitude modulation. The settings for the tremolo are adjustable via the Parameter Window, as summarised in the following table. Stereo signals have separate adjustments for left and right channels. Parameter Purpose "Gain" slider Adjusts the amplitude of the output signal, after the tremolo has been applied. "Rate" slider Sets the rate of the tremolo modulation "Depth" slider Sets the depth of the tremolo modulation: a value of 0 corresponds to no modulation; a value of 1 corresponds to maximum modulation. "Smooth" slider Adjusts the smoothness of the modulation (via the length of the wavetable used to store the sine wave).

How it works

The modulating sine wave is stored in a wavetable, and is scanned using a table-lookup oscillator algorithm (see [Moore] chapter 3.1.7 for further information). See [HRM] for general information on audio effects.
