What it does

Illustrates a simple algorithm for shifting the pitch of the audio material based on circular buffers. This straightforward method does not allow the pitch of the material to be controlled independently of the time, hence the "helium effect" which is especially evident for large pitch shift ratios.

This effect can be used for making strange voice manipulations.

Experiment with varying the left and right shift factors separately.
