A frequency-domain processor that averages the spectrum over time to smooth out rapid fluctuations while preserving phase, useful for steadying or de-noising a signal. Window length sets the FFT/analysis-window size (and therefore the latency), Signal averaging sets how strongly each new spectral frame is blended into the running average (higher values average over a longer history), and a window selector chooses the analysis window — Hanning, Hamming, Blackman, Bartlett or None. A Gain out control trims the output level in dB. It takes one audio input and one audio output, in mono or stereo.
The input is buffered into overlapping, windowed blocks that are transformed with an FFT; each block's magnitude spectrum is recursively averaged with the previous result while its phase is retained, and the inverse transform is overlap-added back to the output. The transform runs on whole blocks, but samples still enter and leave one sample-frame per tick, in step with WaveWarp's sample-per-sample engine.
