Uniform Noise Pan 1

What it is

An auto-panner that moves the signal across the stereo image using a random panning profile. Rather than a regular left-right sweep it reads a band-limited uniform-noise wavetable, so the position wanders unpredictably. Mix sets how much of the panning modulation is applied, Rate controls how fast the noise profile changes, and Phase offsets the right channel's read position against the left to widen the stereo spread. It takes one audio input and produces a stereo (panned) output.

How it works

On initialisation a band-limited uniform-noise wavetable is generated, with change points spaced by the sample rate divided by Rate, and scaled by the mix depth; separate left and right read pointers, offset by Phase, walk backwards through the table to derive each channel's gain. One sample-frame is produced per tick, in step with WaveWarp's sample-per-sample engine.
