A feedback flanger — a very short modulated delay (base Delay 1–10 ms) swept by a low-frequency modulator whose speed and excursion are set by Rate and Depth, with Skew shaping the sweep symmetry. A Modulation selector picks the sweep shape — Sine, Triangular, Log (symmetric), Square, Log (asymmetric), Random (uniform) or Random (telegraph). Feedback recirculates the delayed signal to sharpen the comb notches into a resonant jet sweep, Mix blends dry and wet, and Output sets the final level.
Each sample-frame the modulator advances one step and sets the fractional read position in the short delay buffer; the interpolated delayed sample plus its scaled feedback is blended with the dry input and sent out. Feeding the delayed output back into the same line is exactly the kind of per-sample feedback loop that only stays correct when the whole path is evaluated one sample at a time, which is why WaveWarp runs sample by sample.
