A spectral, FFT-based pitch shifter (the "lite" version of WaveWarp's spectral pitch shifting). Incoming audio is transformed into the frequency domain, its spectrum is rescaled to move the pitch, and the result is transformed back to audio. Buffer sets the size of the analysis window (700 up to 65536 samples), trading time resolution against frequency resolution; Alien Vx sets the amount of pitch shift (the "alien voice" ratio, 1 to 1000); Mix blends the shifted signal with the dry input as a percentage; and Gain Out trims the output level.
The effect collects incoming samples into a buffer, runs an interpolated FFT to move the signal into the frequency domain, shifts the spectral content, and inverts the transform to rebuild the output. Samples are fed in and read out one frame at a time, so the block still presents WaveWarp's sample-per-sample interface while the FFT operates on the buffered history behind that single-sample tick.
