Feedback Flanger Unit

What it is

A feedback flanger building block. A very short modulated delay line (base Delay 1–10 ms) is swept by a low-frequency modulator set by Rate (sweep speed) and Depth (sweep amount), with Skew adjusting the sweep symmetry and a Modulation selector choosing its shape — Sine, Triangular, Log (symmetric), Square, Log (asymmetric), Random (uniform) or Random (telegraph). Feedback recirculates the delayed signal for the resonant, jet-like flange sweep and Output trims the level. It has no dry/wet Mix of its own and is meant to be combined with mixer blocks to build larger flanger patches.

How it works

Each sample-frame the modulator advances one step, sets the fractional read position in the short delay buffer, and the interpolated delayed sample plus its scaled feedback is produced. Feeding the delayed output back into the same line is a per-sample feedback loop that only stays correct when it is evaluated one sample at a time, which is exactly why WaveWarp runs sample by sample.
