Periodic Uniform Noise is a wavetable signal generator that plays a repeating waveform, so a block of uniform random noise loops at a chosen pitch. It has no audio input and one audio output. Frequency (10 Hz to 20 kHz) sets the repeat rate, Amplitude (0 to 1) the level, Skew the waveform shape and a length control the size of the table. A Waveform selector chooses what fills the table — Sine, Triangular, Square, Random (uniform), Random (telegraph) or Load from file — and an Interpolation selector picks Staircase (zero-order-hold) or Linear (first-order-hold) playback.
The chosen waveform is rendered once into a wavetable; playback steps through it by an increment set by the Frequency and the sample rate, wrapping at the end so the same short segment repeats — with a random table this yields periodic (looping) noise, and the file option loads a wavetable from a text file. It processes one sample-frame per tick, in step with WaveWarp's sample-per-sample engine.
