What it does

Simple Noise Gate Built From Threshold

Illustrates how the Audio Threshold component can be used to build a simple -- yet effective -- noise gate. The Audio Threshold gives out a control signal with value 0 when the input audio signal is below the amplitude determined by the slider, and value 1 when above. By multiplying the audio signal by a smoothed version of the threshold control signal, a simple gating effect is achieved.

Experiment with all settings to appreciate the versatility of this simple combination.
